About The Tooth Directory
A directory for people trying to make an expensive decision with very little to go on.
The problem we are trying to fix
Dental treatment is one of the few significant purchases where the price is almost never published, the alternatives are rarely explained, and the search results are dominated by whoever spent the most on advertising. Someone quoted several thousand dollars for an implant has no easy way to know whether that is normal for their city, what the quote actually includes, or which other practices nearby do the same work.
The Tooth Directory exists to make that comparison possible: what a treatment involves, what it is likely to cost locally, which practices offer it, and what to ask before committing.
How we make money
Practices can pay for a Featured listing, which moves them to the top of directory pages — always labelled — and gives them a followed link to their own site. That is the entire commercial model. It is disclosed on every page where it applies.
What payment cannot buy: a better score, a place in our best-of rankings, or a change to anything we write. Those are separate code paths, not a policy we promise to remember. The editorial policy sets out the formula in full.
What we are not
We are not a dental provider. We do not provide dental care, we cannot tell you what treatment you need, and nothing here is a substitute for seeing a licensed dentist. We do not take a cut of what you pay a practice, and we are not paid per booking.
