What a quote usually includes
An implant is three things — the fixture placed in the bone, the abutment that
connects to it, and the crown on top. Some practices quote all three as one
number and some quote them separately, which is the single most common reason

Imaging, extractions, grafting and any temporary tooth worn during healing.
Questions that make quotes comparable
Ask each practice for a written treatment plan listing every stage, and ask specifically what happens — and what it costs — if the implant does not integrate.
